Spain-India Dual Year Culture, Tourism and Artificial Intelligence
2026 marks the Spain-India Year of Culture, celebrating the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Spain and India. It is a bilateral initiative through which the two countries are coordinating a joint programme of cultural, economic, educational and institutional activities to strengthen their strategic relationship.
The 2026 Dual Year has three key themes
The convergence of these three areas places the Spain-India Year of Cultural Exchange firmly in step with the major cultural, economic and technological transformations of the 21st century.
Culture

Tourism
Tourism is one of the main drivers of economic and social ties between countries, particularly in terms of its cultural dimension and high added value.

Artificial Intelligence has established itself as a strategic area for global growth and governance.

The Spain-India Dual Year involves public and private sector organisations from both countries, including:
