Today we want to remember Mahatma Gandhi, one of the great defenders of human rights and commemorate the anniversary of his birth.
\nThe morning was spent at the Crist\u00f3bal Col\u00f3n public school in the Pajarillos neighbourhood of Valladolid, where a workshop was held to participate in the KIDS 4 HUMAN RIGHTS international drawing competition, organised by the Gabarr\u00f3n Foundation in collaboration with the Casa de la India Foundation, the Pajarillos Educa association and the Observatorio de Transformaci\u00f3n y Participaci\u00f3n de Castilla y Le\u00f3n (Castile and Le\u00f3n Observatory for Transformation and Participation), with the aim of promoting and defending human rights and encouraging art among young people. <\/p>\n
We wanted to learn about and interpret the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in an artistic way. The children at the Crist\u00f3bal Col\u00f3n school took part in this creative workshop led by the well-known artist Crist\u00f3bal Gabarr\u00f3n, in which the participants created their own works, contributing their own symbols and messages. The works created will participate in the \u2018KIDS 4 HUMAN RIGHTS\u2019 International Drawing Competition, organised by the Reina Sof\u00eda Children’s Art Gallery of the Gabarr\u00f3n Foundation in collaboration with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of human rights among young people and commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
