Mohan Ramanan is Professor of English at Hyderabad University, India. He has over 10 books and 100 articles on American literature, British poetry and Indian literature.
 
He did a monthly column for Kuala Lumper?s New Straits Times for 10 years . The column was called Indian Letters and he did 1500 word reviews of recent work, trends, authors, interviews, soon to published in the form of a book on the Indian English scene in the 1990s.The Sahitya Akademi of India published his Anthology on Nineteenth Century Indian English prose in 2004.
 
Two more books are in press, one on the Statesman Scholar the Rt. Hon. V.S.Srinivasa Sastri and the other on Contemporary Indian English poetry. He has also published widely in several forums on various themes in Indian English literature.
 
He is in Spain on a Montesserat Fellowship under the auspices of Casa Asia.
He has been lecturing at the Universities of Barcelona, Tarragona and
Zaragosa.
